Error description

• This is the APAR to upgrade to the new MKS toolkit 9.4fp1 +
  hotfix CFS31959.
  This upgrade replaces the one in APAR  JR39847 .

Problem summary

• This is the APAR to upgrade IS 8.5 and later  to MKS toolkit
  9.4fp1 + hotfix CFS31959.
  This upgrade replaces the one in APAR  JR39847 .
  
  PROBLEMS fixed with this patch:
  
  - On Windows Server 2008 it has been reported that the remote
  tools rhs.exe, rcp.exe, rexec.exe,
  and rlogin.exe are missing from the MKS Toolkit directory after
  a successful installation of
  InfoSphere Information Server 8.5 which includes the Engines
  tier.
  This leads to problems when trying to configure the DataStage
  Parallel Engine for use in a MPP
  clustered configuration.
  
  - Some users reported installation problems of the MKS 9.4
  software bundled with Information Server 8.5.
  Sometimes the MKS portion of the install reported licensing
  errors. This patch fixes those problems.
  
  - Permission problems with the MKS 9.4 sometimes prevented
  DataStage parallel jobs from running  in an MPP configuration
  
  - Under high CPU loads, parallel jobs would sometimes hang
  completely because of locking issue inside the MKS Nutcracker
  layer.
  
  - Usually under high CPU loads, jobs would fail with the
  message:
   " Global critical section Nut4MsqIdClassGlobalCriticalSection
  was abandoned by
  process xxx" (Hotfix CFS31959)
  

Problem conclusion

• Install the patch associated with this APAR.
  Note that this patch does not use the usual patch installer.
