IZ20550: ATTEMPTING TO LOGIN TO WEB REPORTING FAILS WITH THE ERROR 'INCORRECT USER ID OR PASSWORD' EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE CORRECT

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When attempting to login to Web Reporting, the user will receive
    the message 'Incorrect User ID or Password' even though the User
    ID and Password are correct.
    

Local fix

  • This occurs when the Standard Account Code Structure has been
    altered from the ISC Administration Console.  The change to the
    structure breaks the connection from the Account Code
    Structure to the User Group and attempts to
    login will fail because all users are no longer in a User Group
    that is allowed to view any Account Code Structures.
    
    This is the primary work around:
    
    1) For each User Group that needs access, go to Edit for the
    User Group.
    2) Click '< Add' for each Account Code Structure that the User
    Group will need to access.
    3) Click 'Make Default' button for the default Account Code
    Structure
    
    You will need to repeat these steps for each User Group that
    needs access to that Account Code Structure.
    
    In addition to the workaround, there is also a fix posted on Fix
    Central that can be applied to the TUAM 7.1 Release that has
    already had the Fixpack applied.  The Fix Central location is
    here:

    Do not apply the Fix until AFTER the 7.1 Fixpack has been
    applied.
    

Problem summary
