IZ09668: UNDER ORACLE, DATABASE INITIALIZATION FAILS

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• An error message will be received when attempting to initialize
  the database under Oracle.  The following error will be seen:
  Exception: ORA-00947: not enough values

Local fix

• This issue has been corrected with the TUAM 7.1 Fixpack released
  in April 2008.  Please install that Fixpack if you are using
  Oracle as the database.  The TUAM Support site will have a link
  to Fix Central to get the Fixpack.
  
  For customers that have not applied the TUAM 7.1 Fixpack and are
  running the base TUAM 7.1:
  
  This is caused by using the Oracle 10 Driver instead of the
  Oracle 9 Driver.  Both drivers are named ojdbc14.jar, but the
  default version when downloading from oracle.com is the Oracle
  10 driver.  There will be a forthcoming fix in the next release
  that will allow all versions of the Oracle driver.  For this
  release
  the Oracle JDBC driver (ojdbc14.jar) must be at level 9.2.0.1.
  The 9.2.0.1 driver can be downloaded from the Oracle Technology
  Network Web site located at
  http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/tech/java/sqlj_jdbc/ht
  docs/jdbc9201.html.  There are multiple drivers listed on the
  page, but the 9.2.0.1 is the only one supported with the TUAM
  7.1 initial release.
  

Problem summary

Problem conclusion

• This is caused by using certain versions of the Oracle Driver.
  Both supported and unsupported drivers are named ojdbc14.jar,
  but the default version when downloading from oracle.com is an
  unsupported Oracle 10 driver.  There will be a forthcoming fix
  in the next release that will allow all versions of the Oracle
  driver.  For this
  release the Oracle JDBC driver (ojdbc14.jar) must be at level
