Error description

• When using the WebSphere MQ Version 6 Resource Adapter within
  a J2EE 1.4 compliant application server, messages are not being
  rolled back if a message-driven bean's onMessage() method
  throws a runtime exception. The messages are being consumed
  instead.
  
  When the runtime exception is thrown from onMessage(), the
  following warning message will be seen in the application
  server's log file:
  
  MQJCA4004: Message delivery to an MDB failed. See the linked
  exception for details.

  USERS AFFECTED:
  This issue affects users of the WebSphere MQ Version 6 resource
  adapter.

  All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows) +Java

  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  The WebSphere MQ Version 6 resource adapter swallowed up the
  RuntimeException thrown from the message-driven bean's onMessage
  () method, rather than allowing it to reach the application
  server. This meant that the server thought the message had been
  consumed successfully, and did not attempt to roll back the
  transaction in which the message was processed.
  

Problem conclusion

• The resource adapter has been changed to allow any Runtime
  Exceptions thrown from onMessage() to propagate back up to the
  application server.
