Error description

  • No JCL DD statement created for a COMMANDS file when run from
    the editor

Running a query involving a Base and an Active RACF DB followed
by a RESULTS command and then opening the COMMANDS entry in the
menu followed by a SUBmit command causes a "CKR0002 16 Output
file open failed - CKR1CM2". The generated JCL shows:

    alloc type=CKRCMD DD=CKR1CM2 function=BASE

but there is no DD created in the JCL.

Local fix

  • Manually modify the generated JCL to add the missing DD
