APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • MIME / HTML e-mails generated by zSecure which contain national
characters are not always translated to the correct Unicode
character values, even when using the correct OPTION MY_CCSID.
This can be seen when using CSSMTP with the TRANSLATE option
coded, which may be in use to specify a different value of the
@ (at) sign from the default codepage 1047 (hex value X'7C').

Local fix

  • Use Plain text e-mail instead of MIME/HTML.
