  • CKRCARLA incorrectly picking up old data set names from inactive
    CA1 DSNB records.
    
    Many CKR0305, CKR0701 and CKR0307 messages are produced against
    the during CARLa report, due to incorrect examination of CA1
    DSNB records.

    *                 tape management catalog (TMC) information.   *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: zSecure Audit might issue numerous      *
    *                      MSGCKR0305, MSGCKR0307, and MSGCKR0701. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF provided.                      *
    ****************************************************************
    When CKFREEZE data sets processed by zSecure contain information
    from the inactive TMC Data Set Name Block (DSNB) records, the
    program issues the following messages for data set names from
    these DSNB records:
     o MSGCKR0305 which begins with the text "Catalog entry
       conflicts with tape management system...".
     o MSGCKR0307 which begins with the text "Conflicting tape
       management information for file...".
     o MSGCKR0701 which begins with the text "First volume conflict
       in tape mgmnt for file...".
    

Problem conclusion

  • zSecure Audit has been modified, so that it ignores information
    from the inactive CA1 TMC DSNB records. Therefore, no
    MSGCKR0305, MSGCKR0307, and MSGCKR0701 are issued for such
    records. zSecure Collect has been modified, so that it does not
    collect information from the inactive CA1 TMC DSNB records.
