OA65171: S878 OR 80A WHEN RUNNING ZSECURE WITHIN RACF-OFFLINE SESSION

APAR status

Error description

• S878 or 80A when running zSecure within RACF-Offline session
  
  When running the following sequence, an abend occurs
  
  1.  Execute the following from the TSO READY prompt:
  ALLOC DA('HLQ.RACF.OFFLINE(B8ROPT01)') FI(B8ROPT01) SHR
  B8RACF
  CONTINUE
  B8RVARY SELECT(01)
  LOGON * SPECIAL
  ISPF
  
  Go to zSecure
  Got to SE.1 and select / setup the offline DB
  Go to option RA.R and select the resources indicated
       class=MDSNTB, Resource df*.sysibm*.**.select
  Press ENTER
  Issue a 'D' next to a profile to be deleted
  Depending on the storage environment, one of the following
  message will be seen
  
  IEA705I ERROR DURING GETMAIN SYS CODE = 80A-10 IKJTSO01 IKJTSO01
  
  IRX0250E System abend code 878, reason code 00000016

  When zSecure Admin is running in the zSecure RACF-Oflline
  environment, it might issue a MSGIEA705I which begins with the
  text "ERROR DURING GETMAIN ..." or MSGIRX0250E which begins with
  the text "System abend code 878 ...".
  

Problem conclusion

• zSecure RACF-Offline function has been modified, so that zSecure
  Admin does not issue MSGIEA705I or MSGIRX0250E.
