APAR status

Error description

• CKF0991 16 Unexpected UNIT pointer 00000000. 000A0000 * .  * in
  CKFMAIN.CONTEXT - user abend 991.
  
  This occurs when running CKFCOLL with parameter VTOC=N and the
  FTP server's BANNER statement refers to a PDS member.
  

Local fix

• Specify VTOC=Y in the CKFCOLL parameters.
  

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: zSecure Collect might issue a           *
  *                      MSGCKF0524 and MSGCKF0991 followed by   *
  *                      an ABENDU991.                           *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF provided.                      *

  When zSecure Collect runs with a VTOC=N option and there is a
  FTP server's BANNER statement referring to a PDS member, the
  program issues a MSGCKF0524 which begins with the text "Error in
  checksum computations..." followed by a MSGCKF0991 which begins
  with the text "Unexpected UNIT pointer..." and terminates with a
  user abend 991 (x'3DF').
  

Problem conclusion

• zSecure Collect has been modified so that FTP server's banner
  PDS member is processed correctly so that no MSGCKF0524 and
  MSGCKF0991 followed by an ABENDU991 are issued in cases where
  the program runs with a VTOC=N option.
