Error description

  • GSD rule F.1.4.17.2 incorrectly reports differences when input
    sets have different VERSION names.

This occurs when selecting "Show differences" and there are not
actually any differences between the two point-in-time snapshots
    from the same system/complex.

Local fix

  • Use separate complex names for the two input sets.

    ****************************************************************
When the 'Show differences' option is checked on the rule
evaluation configuration panel, the zSecure Audit's compliance
    rule F.1.4.17.2 ("SETROPTS LOGOPTIONS(ALWAYS(SURROGAT))
must be active.") reports differences while there are no actual
    differences present.

Problem conclusion

  • zSecure Audit has been modified so the GSD compliance rule
    F.1.4.17.2 performs compare processing correctly.
