Error description

  • Syntax errors reported when PROGxx PARMLIB member contains
    substrings of system symbols.

For example, with zSecure Collect (CKFCOLL):

    1 |SYSLIB LPALIB(SYS1.LPALIB&ENVIRON(1:1))
CKF0988 04 Syntax error: ")" expected instead of delimiter at
    "(1:1))" on PROG01 line 1

    CKF0983 04 Expecting PROG_STMT list separator/terminator instead
     of delimiter "(1:1))" at PROG01 line 1

and when running CARLa reports using the resulting CKFREEZE:

CKR0988 04 Syntax error: ")" expected instead of delimiter at
    "(1:1))" on PROG01 line 1
    CKR0983 04 Expecting PROG_STMT list separator/terminator instead
    of delimiter "(1:1))" at PROG01 line 1

    ****************************************************************
When zSecure Collect processes PROGxx system configuration
member and data set names/volumes specified in that member
contain system symbols with substring operators, the program
issues a MSGCKF0988 which begins with the text
"Syntax error ..." followed by MSGCKF0983 which indicate syntax
another syntax error. Similar messages MSGCKR0988/MSGCKR0983)
are issued by zSecure Admin/Audit while using a CKFREEZE which
was created by zSecure Collect run with error messages mentioned
    earlier.

Problem conclusion

  • zSecure Admin/Audit and Collect have been modified so that they
support substring operators for system symbols specified in data
set names/volumes in PROGxx system configuration members. Please
note the documentation update as provided by the APAR tracking
    comment data.
