Tivoli Storage Manager Administration Center: support for new and existing function
Use this reference to learn about functions that are limited or not supported by the Administration Center interface.
Resolving the problem
The Administration Center for IBM® Tivoli® Storage Manager offers the functions of most administrative commands, as well as additional functions such as the health monitor and wizards to help you perform complex tasks. The following table shows commands that are supported with some restriction or not yet supported. Use the command line if the command or command parameter that you need is not available in the Administration Center.

The TYPE=SCSI parameter on this command is only needed to support configuration for server-free data movement on Windows servers, pre V.5.
DEFINE DEVCLASS for the z/OS® media server (AIX® and Linux only)
DEFINE LIBRARY for the ZOSMEDIA library type (AIX and Linux only)
DEFINE LIBRARY (LAN-free data movement z/OS only)
DEFINE PATH where the destination is a ZOSMEDIA library (AIX and Linux only)

This command is supported for database and recovery logs and for storage pools.
