Can Sametime and QuickPlace/Quickr be installed on the same server?

Question
Can both Lotus® Sametime® and Lotus QuickPlace®/Quickr® be installed on the same server?
 
Answer
No, they cannot be installed on the same server.

Windows®
For Windows servers, installing Sametime and QuickPlace/Quickr (releases 7.0 and higher) on the same server is not a supported configuration. A Domino® server limitation prevents all Java™ class files required by both of these servers from loading when both Sametime and QuickPlace/Quickr are installed on the same machine.

Note: QuickPlace release 6.5.1 can be configured with the following versions of the Sametime server:
    3.0 (until the server can be upgraded to the preferred 3.1 version)
    3.1
    6.5.1 *
    * If you are going to run Quickplace 6.5.1 and Sametime 6.5.1 in the same environment (not on the same server, however), you should upgrade your Quickplace server to 6.5.1 prior to upgrading your Sametime server to 6.5.1.

QuickPlace 3.0.1 should not be run with a Sametime 6.5.1 server. For a complete interoperability matrix for QuickPlace and Sametime versions, see (#1163573) "Supported Versions for Interoperability Among the Domino Extended Products."


i5/OS™
For i5/OS, both Sametime and QuickPlace/Quickr servers can reside on the same system within the same system LPAR. However, the Sametime and QuickPlace/Quickr servers must run on separate partitioned Domino servers.

AIX
For AIX servers, the recommended configuration is Domino 6.5.1, QuickPlace 6.5.1 and Sametime 6.5.1. QuickPlace 6.5.1 and Sametime 3.1 is also supported. Separate Domino partitions must be used.
