| | | Abstract | | This document provides links to IMS Version 8 documentation, which is available in PDF and BookManager formats. | | | | | | | | Content | Announcement for November 2008: IBM discontinued service for IMS Version 8 on November 5, 2008 (see announcement letter 907-162). In October, 2008, IBM released final updates to the PDF and BookManager versions of the IMS Version 8 publications (not the HTML versions) in English only. Links to these updates are included in the  PDF and BookManager formats table below.
Do you have the latest editions of the V8 books? This page links to the most current editions of the IMS Version 8 books. You can check to see if you have the latest edition by looking at the last two digits of the dash number on your book (for example, XXXX-XXXX-02 is more recent than XXXX-XXXX-01).
The links in the following table go to the IBM Publications Center, from which you can download most of the IMS Version 8 books in either PDF or BookManager formats. The licensed publications are not available for download, but are available in softcopy format on the product CD. You can also request licensed PDF publications from IBM by sending an e-mail to imspubs@us.ibm.com and including your IMS license number.

Download the PDF Bookshelf by right-clicking (or by holding the shift key and left-clicking) the icon, and saving the bookshelf file in the same directory as your IMS Version 8 PDF files.
