Problem conclusion
Prior to this APAR, new DDL function is available based upon the DB2 function level. To create consistency when controlling application exploitation of new capability in DB2, this APAR changes DDL to honor the APPLCOMPAT value instead. With this APAR, DDL function provided at any given function level will only be available to applications bound with the corresponding APPLCOMPAT level. DDL statements will fail if packages (including DSNTEP2/4, DSNUGSQL) do not have the necessary APPLCOMPAT level to support the DDL function. Please refer to DB2 V12 documentation for further details.
