Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: This APAR affects all users of IBM Tivoli * * NetView for z/OS V6R2M1 who wish to gather * * utilization statistics for NetView * * commands. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Currently, the only way to gather * * utilization statistics for NetView is * * at the task level. There is no way to * * gather utilization statistics at the * * more granular command level, such as * * for an individual command procedure * * running on an AUTOTASK. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Customers can use the TASKUTIL or TASKMON commands to view utilization statistics at the NetView task level. However, this data is general in nature, and does not go to the granular depths that may be desired for analysis. Furthermore, the system resource usage of each invocation of a command can vary, depending on the command itself and the types of processing it carries out. There are currently no commands or services that allow for the collection of this type of data.
