LO79011: BB devices may resync data when syncing e-mail and To Do at same time.
Closed as program error.
BB is not supposed to be executing SyncML (To Dos) and Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) (Mail, Calendar, and Contacts) syncs in parallel. Depending on how the syncs are overlapped and the data changes included in those overlapped syncs, the next sync of each data type may be a refresh sync which deletes all the data on the client and gets a new, complete copy from the server. These refresh syncs can contain quite a bit of data which can been seen in time syncing, battery consumption, network bandwidth, etc.
Workaround is to disable To Dos sync which first was released with BB OS 10.2.1.
Customers complained of degraded battery life using BlackBerry devices when syncing To Dos. What was found was the device would continously resync all data as a result of the device syncing two different protocols at the same time.
The Notes Traveler server was updated to work around this issue in with BB devices syncing ActiveSync and SyncML protocol at the same time.
This fix is included in Notes Traveler 9.0.1 IF4 and 220.127.116.11 IF5 and all future releases. For the latest Notes Traveler maintenance release information please see this technote: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019529
