APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Upgrading to Bigfix version 9.5, if the database passoword
contains an exclamation mark, the operation fails
with the following db2 error:

SQL0104N An unexpected token "!" was found following
"<identifier>".
Expected tokens may include: "NEW". SQLSTATE=42601

Local fix

  • Change the password of the DB2 user avoiding to use an
exclamation mark before running the upgrade

Problem summary

  • Fixed in IBM BigFix 9.5 (fixpack 4)

change).
