Error description

  • From Operation Center Client view, selecting node ---->"backup"
action in order to run a one-time client schedule , the end-user
    may receive an error like

ANR2035E DEFINE CLIENTACTION: Administrator XXXXX is not
    authorized to issue this command

in case the admin does not have SYSTEM privileges.
Despite this, the one-time schedule is properly defined and will
    run correctly.

    Customer/L2 Diagnostics:
The problem is caused by the background command which will
attempt to schedule such node(s) in all
domains (domain=*), instead of using just the DOMAIN for which
this node and administrator is properly
    authorized.

    IBM Spectrum Protect versions affected:
All supported versions of Operations Center on supported
    platforms

    Initial Impact:
    Medium

    Additional Keywords:
TSM "Spectrum Protect" OC one client schedule "DEFINE
CLIENTACTION" ANR2035E restricted admin rights policy "domain=*"

Local fix

  • - use standard client backup schedule (no one-time schedule)

    or
    - use command DEFINE CLIENTACTION, specifying the domain where
    the node/administrator is properly
    authorized

    or
    - give the administrator UNrestricted policy authority
