Error description

  • DETAIL OF PROBLEM:
    
    A running Mcafee Anti-Virus Software causes the TPC 5.1.1.
    installer to run extremely slow and not complete.
    Ultimately, resulting in a time-out at the Tivoli Integrated
    Portal Install Component.
    
    
    RECREATE STEPS:  Run TPC Installer with Mcafee Anti-Virus
    Software enabled and running.

  • Local Fix:  Disable Anti-Virus Software and Reboot Server. Then
    resume Installer

    Some antivirus software can interfere with the Tivoli Storage
    Productivity Center installation process. To avoid this, disable
    all antivirus software on the target system and restart the
    system before you install Tivoli Storage Productivity Center.
