PI71338: TN3270 TELNET ABENDEC6 0F100041 WHEN CONFIGURED WITH ATTLS PROTECTION AND CHECKCLIENTCONN

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• An ABENDEC6 with reason code 0F100041 in the TN3270 address
  space
  when connection takeover occurs using CheckClientConn with a
  TN3270 server protected with ATTLS. The ABEND occurs because
  BPX4FCT is being invoked in SRB mode incorrectly, and not
  passing a zero or an OA{B address in Reg2.
  

Local fix

• Remove the CheckClientConn Telnet profile statement

  The problem may be summarized as follows:
  1. Telnet is configured with TTLSPORT and CheckClientConn
  2. A telnet client does a takeover
  3. The CheckClientConn timer expires
  4. ABENDEC6 occurs when EZBTTACP calls BPX4FCT
  

Problem conclusion

• EZBTTACP is modified to called BPX4FCT with input to avoid the
  ABENDEC6
