Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ABEND0C4 occurs in ISTAUCTM             *
  *                      while processing an EE liveness         *
  *                      timer SET invocation.                   *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  The problem is summarized as follows:
  
  1) The EE timer processing module, ISTAUCTM, was dispatched
     and scheduled lines for liveness processing.
  2) Each line dispatched and sent a Test LDLC command to
     the partner.  The liveness (TL) timer is cancelled and
     the retry (T1) timer is set.
  3) No responses from the EE partners arrive before the
     EE timer module runs again (approximately 500 ms later).
  4) ISTAUCTM was dispatched again, and removed all of the
     liveness timers that were cancelled from the liveness
     queue.
  5) Subsequently, a new liveness timer was being set for
     a new connection.
  6) An ABEND0C4 occurs in the SET routine of module
     ISTAUCTM.  This occurs because the next liveness (HTMBK)
     to process on the liveness queue has an unexpected NULL
     (previous) timer chain pointer.
  

Problem conclusion

• ISTAUCTM - The SET routine has been corrected to handle
             this timing scenario.
