Cannot edit subject for appointments from the Calendar view in Notes 8 standard client

The in-view edit does not work in the Calendar view in Lotus Notes® 8 client (Standard Configuration). In-view edit works properly in Notes 6.5.x, 7.x, and Notes 8 (Basic Configuration).

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In Notes 6.5x, or 7.x, or 8.0 Basic, open your mail database and switch to the Calendar.

2. Create an appointment and save it.
3. Locate the appointment in the Calendar (one day, two day, week, etc..) view and select/click it. Note you can make changes to the subject.

    Please Note: In-line editing works only for Appointments, All Day Events and Reminders. To edit Meetings, Anniversary and Events, you must open and edit the Calendar entry.

4. Repeat steps 1-3 in Notes 8.0/8.5 Standard Configuration (the Eclipse-based client). Note you cannot edit the Subject.


This issue has been reported to Quality Engineering in SPR# SIWA76J97A. Currently there are no plans to address this issue..
