After pressing escape (Esc) while modifying a spreadsheet cell, will Edit - Undo still work?

Technote (FAQ)

Question

You are modifying a rather complex formula in a cell and before pressing Enter to save your modified formula in Lotus® Spreadsheets, you accidentally press the Escape (Esc) key. At this point, can you Undo? Or are the modifications lost?

Answer

This issue has been reported to Lotus software Quality Engineering. The software is working as designed. If you press Escape while editing a cell, the cell returns to its original state prior to editing the cell. This keystoke cannot be undone. This behavior is true for most spreadsheet applications.
