WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliance firmware version 3.6.1 available
|
| | | Problem(Abstract) | | Firmware version 3.6.1 for WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliance is now available for download. Not all of the listed new features are available on all models. | | | | | | | | | Resolving the problem | New features and enhancements - Configuration checkpoints
Added the ability to create configuration checkpoints. A configuration checkpoint contains configuration data from a specific point in time. You can roll a configuration back to a saved configuration checkpoint. - Conformance Policy
Message conformance to enforce Web Services specifications. A Conformance Policy supports the following profiles:
Messages that contain conformance claims can be checked and optionally filtered for conformance. The Conformance Policy allows you to add conformance claims to the message. Remediation transforms are available. - Conformance validation
Added support to validate the conformance configuration of a DataPower service. After validating the conformance configuration of a service, you can view a generated report. - Document processing
Added support to create the implementation of the following actions: - Asynchronous processing
Added support to most processing actions for asynchronous processing. When you configure an action to process asynchronously, the action does not need to complete to start processing the next action. - Conditional processing
Added support for conditional processing by providing the new conditional processing action. The conditional action implements programmatic if-then-else processing. - Programmatic loop processing
Added support for programmatic loop processing by providing the new for-each processing action. The for-each action implements a programmatic loop for each defined action. - Threat protection
Enhanced support for antivirus protection by providing the new antivirus processing action. An antivirus action invokes a named, reusable rule that sends messages to a virus scanning server. - IMS™ protocol support
Added support to allow Multi-Protocol Gateway services to accept IMS connections from clients and connect to IMS-based applications. - NFS
Added support for NFS, version 4. This version of the protocol provides access to files on mounted file systems that use Kerberos security. - Quality of Service (QoS)
Added support for TCP QoS related protocols. This support allows you to designate services with a higher service-level priority than other. Specifying a higher priority ensures that designated services run before other services when the DataPower device® is under heavy system load. - Role-based management (RBM)
Extended RBM to be able to control access from the command line. By default, the RBM policy controls access from the WebGUI.
Added configuration properties to be able to limit the Admin user to serial connections and to be able to define fallback users when the remote authentication system cannot be contacted. - SOAP Messages with Attachments (SwA)
The DataPower device now supports Web Services Security SwA Profile version 1.0 and version 1.1 for content encryption, decryption, and signatures. - SOAP 1.2
You can use WSDL files that contain SOAP 1.2 bindings to configure Web Service Proxy and XML Firewall services. Added the following support: - SOAP 1.2 Message and Header validation
- Mediation between SOAP 1.1 and SOAP 1.2 messages
- SQL data source
Added support for connectivity to DB2® version 9 databases for the SQL processing action. This support includes the ability to read, write, update, and delete XML documents in the DB2 datastore. - Virtual LAN (VLAN)
Added support for assigning a VLAN address to the device. - Web Services Policy (WS-Policy)
Added support to override or augment WS-Policy for Web Service Proxy services. Support for WS-Policy augments endpoint configuration and supports the following behaviors: - Parsing WSDL files that contain WS-Policy elements, which demonstrates WS-Policy internal attachment behavior and recognizes standardized policy domains.
- Configuring the Web Service Proxy to recognize and enforce standardized policy domains. Policy domains are field-extensive. The Web Service Proxy supports the WS-SecurityPolicy and WS-ReliableMessagingPolicy standardized policy domains.
- Associating, or attaching, WS-Policy expressions, which are not embedded in the WSDL file, to a WS-Policy policy subject (for example, a WSDL endpoint).
- Web Services Reliable Messaging (WSRM)
Added support to allow Multi-Protocol Gateway and Web Service Proxy services to implement WSRM. - WebSphere® MQ
Simplified the SSL configuration. Added properties for channel configuration. - WSDL interface
Additional status information is available through the WSDM interface.
Support for HSM modules compliant with the European ROHS specification.
