The IBM® Guided Activity Assistant (IGAA) is a tool that guides you step-by-step through troubleshooting and configuration tasks. It helps you identify symptoms, collect diagnostic data, analyze the collected data, determine a root cause, and apply a solution to resolve the symptoms. If you cannot resolve the problem, IGAA helps you export the troubleshooting case and send it to IBM to continue investigating the problem.
The IBM Guided Activity Assistant (IGAA) is part of the IBM Support Assistant (ISA) V4.0. Follow the steps below to use IGAA in ISA V4.0:
Download and Install the IBM Support Assistant V4 application.
Start the IBM Support Assistant V4 application.
Click on the Analyze Problem icon on the home page.
Click the Guided Troubleshooter tab. (IGAA is called the Guided Troubleshooter in ISA V4.0.)
Follow the IGAA default or product specific content to troubleshoot problems.
For product specific content, (such as WebSphere Application Server troubleshooting) install the appropriate product add-on following the steps provided in the IGAA default content.
