This application development course uses lectures and hands-on exercises to provide information related to creating voice response applications. In this course you will learn how to create voice segments, prompts, state tables, and custom servers. Lab exercises give students an opportunity to work in the state table editor and an ASCII editor.

This course covers the detailed planning for, and installation of, a WebSphere Voice Response for AIX system, including telephony, system configuration, and setup. The course also covers the various aspects of system management in a production environment, and introduces the approach to, and facilities provided for, problem management.
- WX003: IBM WebSphere Voice Toolkit V6.0.1 VoiceXML Application Development Fundamentals
In this course, students learn the fundamentals of VoiceXML application development using IBM Rational Application Developer and the IBM WebSphere Voice Toolkit. This course provides students with an introduction to the telephony environment, speech and text-to-speech concepts, and IBM voice products, as well as the methodology used to develop VoiceXML applications. Students also learn about the features and functions in the IBM WebSphere Voice Toolkit that are used to build static VoiceXML applications. Extensive hands-on exercises focus on using IBM Rational Application Developer and the IBM WebSphere Voice Toolkit to build VoiceXML applications, grammars, and audio.

This course provides training in speech technology using WebSphere Voice Server. WebSphere Voice Server provides the voice middleware that helps users speech-enable their solutions, so that information can be accessed from a Web browser, telephone, or mobile device. Throughout this two-day course, you will perform hands-on exercises to improve your understanding of WebSphere Voice Server, including WebSphere Network Deployment and WebSphere Load Balancer. Lab exercises give students the opportunity to install the products, use the configuration and management tools, and test their configurations using WebSphere Voice Response for AIX.
