This course covers each of the components and features of WebSphere Extended Deployment from a systems administrator's perspective by using a simulated real world production environment. Through a combination of lectures and hands-on activities, students learn the concepts and architecture that underlie WebSphere Extended Deployment's on demand operating environment, as well as how to install and administer the product. Students also learn about the features offered by optional components such as Operations Optimization for dynamic operations, Data Grid for high performance, and Compute Grid for running and controlling batch-like jobs.
