Overview
WebSphere Transaction Cluster Facility (WTCF) is a transaction and datastore facility that can be used by distributed programs.
WTCF is designed for applications that have large, centralized databases with frequent read and update requirements where data is not easily partitioned and must be globally consistent.
- Conveniently packaged with DB2, DB2 pureScale, and WebSphere Application Server.
- Provides object-oriented interfaces for application development (C++ and Java).
- Enables node clustering capabilities for horizontal scale out.
- Application development tooling increases developer productivity, reduces time to market and ensures database consistency.
- Provides a network data model with minimal search time.
- Enables data integrity through pre-defined database metadata, in order to ensure data consistency at all levels of the hierarchy.
- Configuration assistant built on Eclipse allows users to easily define the database mapping between WTCF and the underlying DB2 database.
- Provides multitenant capabilities for hosting multiple client databases.
- Operating system supported: AIX
