Hardware requirements
To perform the initial configuration, you must use a serial connection. The serial connection must be between an ASCII terminal or a PC running terminal emulation software to the serial port on the DataPower® appliance. To make the serial connection, use the provided RJ45 to DB-9 serial null-modem cable.
Note:
If the terminal or PC is not equipped with a serial port, use the provided USB-to-serial converter cable.
Unattended or remote installation can be performed through a network attached terminal server.
Software Requirements:
The appliance comes with IBM-supplied software. It is not possible to install any other software on the appliance.
