Use one of the following options to install the WebSphere Application Server Feature Pack for XML:
Option 1
Web Repository: Download a file from the IBM Installation Manager Web site, and use Web-based installation
If you do not already have IBM Installation Manager, download and install it to your local system first:
With IBM Installation Manager installed you can use it to import WebSphere Application Server V7 as well as to install the feature pack from the Web-based repositories. For additional installation information, see the related feature pack Information Center.
Important: Whenever possible, you should use the remote Web-based repositories included in this option so that you are accessing the most up-to-date WebSphere Application Server base-product import and feature pack installation files.
Option 2
Local Repository: Download files for both the IBM Installation Manager and the WebSphere Application Server V7 Feature Pack for XML and use local installation
Download the compressed file containing the base-product importation and feature pack product repositories.
You can then install Installation Manager on your local system and use it to import WebSphere Application Server V7 as well as to install the feature pack from the unpacked local product repositories. For additional installation information, see the related feature pack Information Center.
