On October 5, 2006, IBM announced it had completed its acquisition of MRO Software, a publicly held company based in Bedford, MA. IBM announced a definitive agreement to acquire MRO on August 3, 2006. MRO's operations will be integrated into IBM's Tivoli software business.

The combination of MRO Software’s asset-management based solutions and IBM's Service Management technology will provide Tivoli Business Partners with solutions to effectively manage how customers buy, maintain and retire assets -- such as production equipment, facilities, transportation and information technology hardware and software.

As a result of the acquisition, IBM will be the only company to provide a convergence of IT and industrial assets.

Please stay tuned to the Tivoli Knowledge Center for additional information regarding this transaction and we look forward to having you grow your business with our expanding solution portfolio.
