Two-day Tivoli workshops provide official Tivoli customer education in the same convenient location. Workshops focus on hands-on experience, but also include valuable lectures that together provide a comprehensive education on the product of your choice. One-day asset management courses include professional course materials taught by asset management experts who can help you fill knowledge gaps and return home with the information you need.

Please be aware that classroom size is limited, and pre-registration is required. Register for these workshops when registering for the conference. Two-Day Workshops take place on Thursday, March 8 and Friday, March 9.

  • - Maximo 7.5 Scheduler Overview Workshop
    Presenter: Eva Baez

    This workshop will introduce Planners and Schedulers to the process of viewing, adjusting, and publishing work schedules in an intuitive graphical Gantt view and tailoring "what if" scenarios. The workshop will also provide a high-level overview of forecasting PM's without having to create Preventive Maintenance work orders, dragging and dropping PM Forecast Dates to where the resource demands can be most efficiently met, and how to create requirements for both short-term scheduling and long range planning.

  • - Maximo 7.5 Inventory and Purchasing Workshop

    This workshop is intended to provide the end-user with a high-level overview of the new Inventory and Purchasing applications and functionality available in out-of-the-box Maximo 7.5. The workshop will introduce Maximo's enhanced Inventory application, new Inventory Usage application, and new features for Inventory Management. Maximo 7.5's Purchasing module has new applications and enhanced functionality for an overall Supply Chain Management perspective.

  • - Maximo 7.5 New Features Workshop Focusing on Automation Scripting and Web Services

    This workshop will introduce the participants to the following Maximo 7.5 new features: customization using Automation Scripting; data import and export using Application Import/Export; and look-ups using Web Service Interactions.

  • - Migration Manager on TPAE 7.5

    The Migration Manager enables you to promote system configuration content of Tpae-based products from one environment to another such from development to test and then on to production. IBM released Maximo 7.5 in 2011 containing significant new improvements to Migration Manager. These improvements are intended to better align the tool set to development practices and reduce the effort needed to identify, collect, package and promote system configurations. In this workshop you will not only exploit standard Migration Manager capabilities such as snapshots and change packages but also become familiar with and effectively utilize the newer features such as Migration Collections, Comparison and Error correction. This workshop will offer a very hands-on approach using customer-provided common migration scenarios as a backdrop and guiding students through implementing those scenarios using Migration Manager tools.

  • - Tivoli Storage Manager 6.3 Monitoring and Reporting Workshop

    TSM 6.3 incorporates a new set of monitoring and reporting tools. This session will review the monitoring components with an emphasis on configuration to reduce troubleshooting. With these tools, there are two different reporting interfaces. The Tivoli Enterprise Portal, which can be used for monitoring as well as reporting. Both functions will be incorporated into the lab environment. Completely new with reporting will be the Tivoli Common Reporting (TCR) 2.1 environment. In addition to standard reports, this new version of TCR eliminates the requirement to use Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT) and SQL to create new reports. The second day will review the standard reports but focus on creating custom reports with the new tool set. This session will require the attendee to be familiar with TSM since it will focus only on the monitoring and reporting capability and will rely on the participant to create storage pools, backup data etc to generate output for reporting.

  • - IBM Tivoli Storage Manager 6.3 New Features Workshop

    In this workshop you will review major changes for Tivoli Storage Manager Version 6.x, including database and log structure changes, and major new functions like deduplication. Then you will learn about new features for Tivoli Storage Manager Version 6.3 with lecture and hands-on labs. Topics will include Node Replication, PVU Calculation, DB backup enhancements, Tivoli Storage Manager for Virtual Environments, and more.

  • - IBM Tivoli Endpoint Manager Platform Workshop

    IBM Tivoli Endpoint Manager Platform describes architecture, content, management tools, user roles, and integration with external security solutions. Participants will develop end to end product skills with the Tivoli Endpoint Manager platform including deployment planning, licensing, installation, configuration, console usage, reporting, troubleshooting, and common use case considerations. IBM Tivoli Endpoint Manager Platform addresses the knowledge required to fulfill multiple operational, administrative, and consulting roles of the core Tivoli Endpoint Manager components.

  • - TRIRIGA Portfolio Workshop

    Learn the basic functionality and industry terminology of the TRIRIGA application that are shared across all the functional areas of the TRIRIGA IWMS including Facilities, Real Estate, Projects, Operations, and Environmental Sustainability. There will not be enough time to have any detailed discussion or training on all the specifics of these functional areas, nor will customization or development of the platform be conducted.

  • - IBM Tivoli Solution for Enterprise Network Management Workshop

    The IBM Tivoli Netcool Solution Workshop for Enterprise Management Workshop is structured to show you how you can solve business problems related to network management using an integrated suite of IBM Tivoli products. The products integrated in this workshop include: IBM Tivoli Network Manager, IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus, IBM Tivoli Netcool/Impact, and IBM Tivoli Business Services Manager.

    This workshop uses a consultative approach to implementing specific features of these IBM Tivoli software products with a focus on three different scenarios involving improvement of service delivery. The material covered in the workshop is presented within a context that is applicable to both enterprise and service provider environments, and demonstrates a progression of implementation activities that results in quantifiable business improvements.
