IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for System Backup and Recovery

The following operating systems are supported by IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for System Backup and Recovery.

IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for System Backup and Recovery, Version 5.6:

• IBM eServer pSeries, RS/6000 or RS/6000 SP system, including LPAR capable systems and Cluster 1600 systems using PSSP

• AIX 5.1, 5.2 or 5.3*

• AIX running in a partition of an eserver iSeries POWER5 system (aka i5)

• PSSP 3.5 in RS/6000 SP environments

• Filesystems JFS, JFS2, NFS, CDFS

• pSeries Cluster 1600 systems using CSM are treated like standalone systems. Post-installation cluster management configuration may be required.

• Integration with Tivoli Storage Manager requires Tivoli Storage Manager server and client version 5.2.0 or later

AIX 5.3 support is delivered in SysBack level 5.6.6

Note: SysBack 5.6.1 and later machines executing remote SysBack operations may only execute against other 5.6.1 and later machines. Remote SysBack operations include, but are not limited to: network backups, network restores, network boot, and network installation.
