Product requirements
IBM Tivoli Service Request Manager Minimum Hardware and Software Requirements:
IBM® Tivoli Service Request Manager is based on Maximo® an n-Tier architecture, which lets you deploy across one or more tiers (servers). You can run Tivoli Service Request Manager on a single physical server or across multiple servers depending on the number of concurrent users and the hardware.
Tivoli Service Request Manager requires the following minimum hardware and software for client workstations and each tier in a Tivoli Service Request Manager system configuration:

Database server
The server where you install database software to create and maintain our Service Request Manager database.

Application server
Server that you will use to run the core Service Request Manager Java/Web Server components.

The report server is embedded with the Application Server. Additional disk space is needed for temporary storage of report files. This tempo-rary disk space is estimated at 30 to 50 MB on the Application Server. Please note that this is an approximate value and depends greatly on

How long the report session is kept open

Maximo requires the following minimum hardware and software for Maximo for client workstations and each tier in a Maximo system configuration:

The Maximo Workflow Designer requires a Java Runtime Environment (JRE 1.4.2 through JRE 1.5 are currently supported). The Workflow Designer checks for the JRE on the administrative workstation and prompts you to install JRE 1.4.2-b28 if it cannot find it on the workstation.

Server that you will use to run the core Maximo Application and Java/Web Server components

Server that contains and manages the Maximo database.
Customer is responsible for database platform software, and is referred to the vendor for hardware requirements.

Reports Server
Server that contains browser-based reporting software.

³ Solaris 10 is not currently supported for the Actuate Report iServer reports server
