IBM® Tivoli® Provisioning Manager for Software provides a new level of release management capabilities

It helps automate software deployment to servers, desktops and laptops distributed across different environments and locations—quickly, easily and cost-effectively.

Includes built-in discovery, inventory, software distribution, patch automation, and support for compliance and remediation
Provides reporting with enhanced query capabilities and improved discovery of managed resources
Displays a new, intuitive user interface that can drive deployments over supported Tivoli Management Framework or SOA infrastructures
Strengthens compliance through comprehensive reporting and automated remediation of noncompliant resources
Offers optional plug-in features to support OS imaging and bare-metal installation
Supports either IBM Tivoli Management Framework for existing Tivoli Configuration Manager V4.2.3 implementations or a new SOA environment designed to be more flexible yet easier and less costly to manage
