IBM® Tivoli® Network Manager (formerly Netcool/Precision) is automatic network discovery and topology-based management software designed to help organizations improve network visibility and drive reliability and performance. It provides real-time network discovery, topology visualization and root cause analysis for layer 1, 2 and 3 networks, including IP, Ethernet, and multiprotocol label switching (MPLS). It's designed to help visualize and better understand complex networks, to help focus time and attention on root cause events. Real-time root-cause analysis helps operations personnel quickly identify the source of network faults and speed problem resolution.
