In its July 2007 report, IDC ranks IBM as the worldwide leader for the first time, surpassing CA, which led in 2005. According to the independent report, IBM led all others with a 12.2 percent revenue share in 2006, a growth of 10.6 percent from 2005.
IDC reports that total worldwide revenue for identity and access management reached almost $3 billion in 2006 and is forecast to reach more than $4.9 billion by 2011.
