Bob Madey Vice President of Availability and Business Service Management Development |
Bob Madey is the vice president of availability and business service management development for Tivoli Software at IBM. He is responsible for product development and market management of Tivoli's availability and business service management offerings.
Madey was named to his current position in August 2001. He previously served as vice president of marketing strategy and product management for Tivoli software. In this position he helped set the strategic market and product direction for the enterprise solution unit.
Prior to this, Madey served as director of WebSphere market strategy and solutions for IBM Software Group, where he was responsible for developing market strategy and solution development for IBM's WebSphere and MQ product lines. Before taking that position, he acted as director of the security business line for Software Group and was responsible for product management and solution development, as well as overall strategy formulation.
A dedicated IBM employee since 1980, Madey started out as a marketing representative in Los Angeles. During his career he has held a number of technical and management positions in sales, services, consulting, marketing and development.
Madey holds a Bachelor of Science from Indiana State University.
