The NetView Management Console (NMC) can be run in "demo" mode without an NMC Server or NetView for z/OS® attached to provide the graphical views. The Server data is simulated by saving this information on the NMC Console machine. The demo is based on NetView for z/OS V6R1.

In addition, 150 MB of additional fixed disk space is needed. Screen resolution of 1024 by 768, with 256 colors is recommended. Higher resolution and larger color palette may severely degrade performance. Maximum color palette is 16-bit high color (32-bit True Color is not supported).

Running the nmc_console_windows-220.127.116.11.exe file will invoke the InstallShield setup wizard to start the installation process. Continue following these steps below. The install wizard will guide you through the process:
Icons called "NMC Topology Console", "NMC Demo", and "NMC Productivity Kit" will be created on your Desktop.
The demo files are generally very large, and require a high-speed connection to work properly. If you are concerned about your connection speed, we recommend that you download the files and run them locally.
