This course teaches users to move configuration changes from one environment to another with Migration Manager, a set of new functions common to all Tivoli Product Application Platform (TPAP) offerings.
Objectives
After completing this course, you should be able to:
- Create, define, and distribute a migration package in the source environment.
- Deploy that same package in the target environment.

Who will benefit from this course
This intermediate-level course is for Tivoli Services database configuration experts who understand database business objects, primary keys, and dependencies.
Required skills/knowledge
You should have experience with IBM IT Enterprise and Asset Management 7.1.
To participate in both the lectures and labs for this course, the student workstation must meet the following hardware requirements:
- Minimum of 256 MB of memory
- Windows 2000 or XP
- Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher
- 128-bit encryption
- Versions of Internet Explorer prior to version 6.0 and Windows 2000 must have the High Encryption Packs installed
- Minimum 30Kbps dedicated Internet bandwidth
