After you receive confirmation that you are enrolled, you will be sent further instructions to access audio, video and remote labs.
Get an introduction to the system administration applications in IBM Maximo 6. Learn to administer and configure other Maximo 6 applications, set values (MAXVARS), specify security settings, and configure the database. Complete hands-on lab exercises to set up, control, and maintain the Maximo 6 environment and modify the environment as changes occur.

Who will benefit from this course
This is an intermediate course for anyone involved in system administration, including implementation, security, application configuration, and application maintenance. This course does not cover application tailoring or screen customization.
Required skills/knowledge
You should complete:
- Navigation and Querying in IBM Maximo 6 (TR101)
- Work Management in IBM Maximo 6 for Enterprise Asset Management (TR160) or equivalent experience
- or you should have equivalent working experience with IBM Maximo 5.x or greater
To participate in both the lectures and labs for this course, student workstation must meet the following hardware requirements:
- Minimum of 256 MB of memory
- Windows 2000 or XP
- Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher.
- 128-bit encryption
- Versions of Internet Explorer prior to version 6.0 and Windows 2000 must have the High Encryption Packs installed
- Minimum 30Kbps dedicated Internet bandwidth
