This 2-day course teaches the administrative functions necessary to plan, install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a Tivoli Workload Scheduler 8.5 network. This course includes an in-depth look at:

- Workstation and network configuration options

Hands-on lab exercises include planning a network, defining workstations and domains, and installing and configuring Tivoli Workload Scheduler components.

- Describe how to upgrade a previous installation to the current version
- Configure individual workstations and the global network
- Manage and update Tivoli Workload Scheduler security
- Describe JnextPlan and the planman utility, and explain how a plan is generated and managed
- Describe how to back up and restore a Tivoli Workload Scheduler environment
- Produce reports by using the Tivoli Workload Scheduler command line and Tivoli Dynamic Workload Console reporting utilities
