Core Consultant Training in IBM Maximo 6 (for IT) offers a comprehensive, hands-on class for partners and customers who are seeking training to install, configure, and tailor the IBM Maximo Enterprise Suite (IBM MXES). Configuration includes tables, objects, attributes, and relationships. Tailoring includes the use of IBM Maximo Application Designer, which makes it easier and more efficient to extend IBM Maximo.
Objectives
After completing this course, students should be able to accomplish the following:
- An understanding and basic skill set of how to extend the IBM Maximo Enterprise Suite to fulfill your implementation requirements
- Discuss and create and financial configurations in IBM Maximo
- Discuss and create IBM Maximo security users and groups
- Describe and configure multisite/multiorganization architecture
- Describe Workflow and process a record through Workflow
- Describe the IBM Maximo installation in a distributed and stand-alone environment
- Install IBM Maximo, IBM Maximo Discovery, and Fusion
- Discuss the IBM Maximo file structure
- Describe the database architecture
- Describe the IBM Maximo database, ERD, and how data is loaded
- Use the Database Configuration application to perform table creation, drops, and changes, and to create relationships and domains
- Use the Application Designer to create, copy, and customize IBM Maximo applications

Students unfamiliar with Maximo should attend the IBM Maximo Core Consultant for IT: Week 1 prior to this course.
