The Virtual Services Information Assessment Bureau (VS IAB) offering was designed to analyze, validate, and verify source system data before it is used in information management implementations, to ensure accuracy and mitigate the risks associated with poor-quality data. Data analysis is performed by product experts in the IBM Virtual Services team remotely using an IBM high throughput GRID server. This offering is targeted at customers that do not have the ability to perform this kind of quality assessment with their current toolset. Costs are reduced by eliminating the hardware and product training costs, as well as exposing the costs associated with inaccurate data. At the end of the engagement, customers receive requested reports outlining specific data quality issues so they can address them before future information management engagements begin.
