The GIM describes how the BDW’s model parts are interconnected and cross-referenced to provide the structure and content for supporting the business and application layers of an enterprise architecture, including laying the foundation for defining a corporate set of standard definitions and best practices around their data. Lastly, they highlights the usage of the models with the industry’s leading performance management and information middleware, and development tooling from IBM such as InfoSphere Information Server, InfoSphere Warehouse, InfoSphere Data Architect and leading third party vendors.
