IBM Security - Extended Support

To realize maximum value from your IBM Subscription and Support (S&S) agreement, you should download and install the latest IBM product version or release.  However, there are times when business constraints delay your ability to move to new versions.  A Support Extension can provide you with the additional time and flexibility you need to complete an orderly transition to a current IBM product version, release or platform.

Support Extension Requests
When submitting a Support Extension request, please provide the following information:

  • Customer name
  • Authorized contact name, email and telephone number
  • IBM Customer number (ICN)
  • Passport Advantage (PA) Agreement number
  • PA Site number
  • Product name
  • Product version, release and modification level (operating system, if applicable)
  • Support Extension term:  start / end dates
  • Product must be covered under a Support contract (if available) for the duration of the Support Extension.
    • This ensures continued access to Product updates
