Challenge
Monuta Holding, the largest funeral insurance company in The Netherlands, wanted to automate its policy request processes and enable customers to examine and adapt their own records online. Monuta chose the Quinity Insurance Solution (QIS) from Quinity, an IBM Advanced Business Partner that participates in IBM Partnerworld® Industry Networks, because Quinity offered superior functionality out-of-the box with fast, low-cost implementation. Quinity is optimized in the insurance industry network.
Solution
Monuta deployed strategic QIS modules integrated with IBM WebSphere® Application Server and IBM DB2® Enterprise. The solution gives users access to key processes via the Internet, extranet and intranet and lets customer employees quickly handle policy requests and provide quotations. Business partners can now sell the insurance company’s products from within the company’s network as well.
QIS modules share a central database, which ensures that all insurance professionals and customers always have the same and most up to date information. “By using WebSphere and DB2, QIS becomes a high-availability and scalable solution that can handle high loads and large numbers of concurrent users without impact on performance,” said Björn Peijnenburg, Quinity project manager.
Benefits
Since deploying the Quinity Insurance Solution with IBM WebSphere and DB2, Monuta Holding:
