The group had separate application systems for its Human Resources function and for processing payroll, with one system in-house and the other outsourced. The two systems were inflexible and did not inter-communicate well, requiring significant manual effort to support its operations.

Solution:
IBM Global Services was selected to help transform the existing human resources and payroll systems and operations. The solution utilized IBM/Oracle “Foundation HCM (Human Capital Management)” for processes, implementation and software. Hosting and server operations is provided by IBM’s “Application On Demand” delivery center in Warwick.

Benefits:
The human resources and payroll processes at the company are now running on a single integrated application and hosting solution, which significantly reduced the manual effort that was previously required. Using “Foundation HCM” allowed the group to successfully and safely transform the human resources and payroll processes. The new solution provided the base for group to deploy “Employee Self-Service,” which reduced administration costs in the HR department, improved data accuracy and gave employees speed, responsiveness and convenience.
