IBM WebSphere Cast Iron Cloud integration combines Salesforce.com and PeopleSoft applications
This education organization in the United States is a global leader in enterprise technology and innovative software solutions that improve the experience of millions of students and learners worldwide daily. The company’s solutions allow thousands of educational, professional, corporate and government organizations to extend teaching and learning online, facilitate campus commerce and security and communicate more effectively with their communities. Employing approximately 1,200 people, the educational business has offices on four continents.
Every enterprise benefits from integration between its CRM and ERP software, but this integration becomes complicated when one system operates in the cloud and one on premises. The worldwide educational company faced this issue when it needed real-time, bidirectional integration for accounts, contacts, products and pricing between its Salesforce.com Software as a Service (SaaS) CRM application and its PeopleSoft ERP software. Because these constitute business-critical systems, integrating them required a highly reliable and secure solution. The company also needed enterprise-class scalability to handle business growth and technology with enough flexibility and stability to serve as a basis for future integration projects
To meet these requirements, the educational business chose IBM WebSphere® Cast Iron® Cloud integration, a fast and simple solution for data migration and application integration across multiple systems such as ERP software, CRM technology, databases, demand-based services and custom applications.
