Challenge
Every enterprise benefits from integration between its CRM and ERP software, but this integration becomes complicated when one system operates in the cloud and one on premises. The worldwide educational company faced this issue when it needed real-time, bidirectional integration for accounts, contacts, products and pricing between its Salesforce.com Software as a Service (SaaS) CRM application and its PeopleSoft ERP software. Because these constitute business-critical systems, integrating them required a highly reliable and secure solution.
